Anggie Obin is a flutist, composer, and a teacher from Panama. She was first introduced to the instrument by his then music teacher to be part of the high school marching band. She began her musical studies at the age of 12. Entering the National Conservatory of Music of Panama, where she finished as a classical flutist. She joined the Danilo Pérez Foundation to formalize her studies in jazz and contemporary music. While studying jazz she had the opportunity to be mentored by one the greatest jazz musicians from Panama “ Carlos Garnett”. 2012 she was invited by the Kellogg Innovation Network in Chicago to performance at the prestigious Civic Opera House in Chicago in USA and for that same year she obtained a full scholarship to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston.

In Boston she got the opportunity to performance and record with really importance artist such as George Garzone, Rossa Passos, Tóto La Momposina, Ruben Rada, among others. She have played numerous times at the Panama Jazz Festival sharing the stages with artist such as multi- Grammy winner acclaimed pianist Danilo Perez, John Patittuci, Brian Blade, Randy Weston, Ben Street, etc. In 2017 she moved to NYC she started it playing with acclaimed jazz bassist Santi Debriano playing at major jazz venues such as Smalls Jazz Club, Mezrrow, Zinc Bar.

Among her musical achievements she has shared the stage with renowned artists such as multi-Grammy winner acclaimed singer Ruben Blades. She has collaborated with great exponents of modern music such as Peter Erskine, Gary Burton, Bill Mchenry, La Mala Rodriguez, Joyce Moreno, Kurt Elling, Kirk Lightsey, among others.
